Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a joint coding scheme for flooding in wireless sensor networks. Random network coding is a technique that can mitigate the degradation due to packet losses in wireless networks. However, it cannot correct bit errors. On the other hand, multi-route coding was proposed to reduce bit errors on wireless channels in wireless networks. In this coding scheme, diversity gain is obtained by transmitting coded packets on multiple routes. We propose a robust coding scheme for packet losses and bit errors by using random network and multi-route coding. To show the effectiveness of the proposed coding scheme, we evaluate the performance of the proposed coding scheme. From results, the proposed scheme is superior to the random network coding for flooding.
