A method of Management and Operation on Network as a Service (NaaS)

Abstract(in English) In recent years, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), which provides virtual server (VS) and storage, has been grown up. The key feature of the cloud computing service like IaaS is that an end user (tenant) can use those resources from IaaS and stop to use it anytime. We will achieve a "Time to market business" by using the cloud computing service and reduce operation cost of an infrastructure for the business. Specifically, we need to quickly provide and change a resource management to adapt a business demand of a tenant. And the network operation is also required to quickly adapt the demand, where a network structure and bandwidth should be quickly managed at low cost. In other word, a network service should be provided as Network as a Service (NaaS) like IaaS. We introduce a Software Defined Network (SDN) as network virtualization technology to construct and manage NaaS, but there is a big issue on scalability when we introduce it into a large scale network. In this report, we introduce the overview of our SDN model "Distributed network management and overlay network model" and a management technologies, and future works.
