Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we discuss field test results of TCP-FSO which is a customized transport protocol for Free-Space-Optical Communication(FSOC). In the test, we measured data transfer throughput by TCP-FSO over our 40 Gbps FSOC test bed system which consists of FEC modules, WDM optical transport modules, optical wave compensation modules, and optical-beam tracking modules. We also tested TCP-FSO's throughput in case when a TCP-FSO sender was on a moving station. In these tests, we confirmed that throughput was greatly improved by TCP-FSO, comparing to the ordinary TCP. We also confirmed that TCP-FSO utilized available bandwidth of FSOC link.
