Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An all-dielectric hollow-optical fiber that is fabricated without metal plating process is proposed. This fiber consists of dielectric thin film and the mechanical strength for practical use is obtained by stacking multiple capillary in honeycomb structure. The fiber is manufactured by using glass drawing technique and the thickness of glass wall is around 1 μm. The attenuation is lowered by interference effect of dielectric wall and fibers with lower losses than those of conventional hollow-optical fibers with metal layer are successfully fabricated.
