Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A hollow-optical fiber probe for laser breakdown spectroscopy is developed for quantitative analysis of soil salinity. A glass cap for focusing and sealing is attached on the distal end of hollow fiber when measuring liquid samples and the fiber end is open for solid samples. Salinity is analyzed by detecting plasma emission spectra of Na. For analysis of soil samples, the lowest detectable concentration of 0.01% is achieved by generating plasma in Ar atmosphere.
