Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To expand the usable wavelength bandwidth for optical communications, the use of alternative wavebands and the development of methods for enhancing the transmission capacities of existing photonic networks. We constructed photonic transport system in the O-band (Original-band, 1260~1360-nm,17.5-THz).10-Gbps error-free simultaneous transmissions in the O- -bands are successfully demonstrated for the first time by using quantum dot laser and the ultra-broadband photonic transport system over a 11.4-km-long holey fiber transmission line. The broadband optical frequency resources over the 7.0-THz is successfully achieved for wavelength division multiplex photonic transport system in O-band.
