| 抄録(和) | 筆者が日本電信電話公社電気通信研究所に入社した1971年ころは、まさに通信網がアナログ網からディジタル網へと発展しようとするときであった。1972年にはITU-T(当時はCCITT)における初の標準音声符号化方式として、G.711-PCM方式が勧告された。このような時代背景のもとに、筆者はディジタル系の音声品質研究を開始した。本稿では、ディジタル通信網における音声及び音楽品質評価法に関する研究の歴史とその発展について、筆者の貢献を中心に述べる。 |
| 抄録(英) | When I joined the Electrical Communication Laboratories of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation (NTT) in 1971, telecommunication networks would be developed from analog network to digital network. Taking account of the future evolving digital communications network, G.711-PCM was standardized in 1972, as the first speech coding recommendation in the ITU-T (formerly, CCITT). Under the background of digitalization of telephone networks, I have started quality studies on the digital communication services. This paper describes the author's history and perspective on the research and development of speech and audio quality assessment methodologies in digital communication networks and services. |
