A hierarchical control method with domain aggregation on OpenFlow networks

Abstract(in English) In OpenFlow network, a centralized OpenFlow controller handles multiple switches. This architecture causes high processing load on the controller in a large-scale OpenFlow network. To solve this problem, we propose a method to construct hierarchal OpenFlow networks. In our method, each OpenFlow controller handles an OpenFlow network domain as a single virtual OpenFlow switch, and establishes a control-channel to the global controller which operates inter-domain routing. In this report, we show effectiveness of the proposed method using some experiments in actual equipments.
