Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, the load distribution problem in wireless LANs is described. A pricing-based load distribution scheme is proposed for relieving the congestion at certain popular spaces within the wireless LANs. In particular, a federated network is defined, in which various access points are managed together. As the heavier load yields lower QoS, wireless users are motivated to move to less congested, less costly access points. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme in terms of the degree of load balance is evaluated by simulation.
