Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to establish wide area wireless sensor networks which provide high-transmission-efficient, cost-effective wireless communication infrastructure to omnipresent small maintenance-free mobile terminals, it is necessary to accommodate a huge number of terminals in one wireless base station as compared with the conventional wireless access system, and to offer several different Quality-of-Service (QoS) on it for every terminal or every connection. In this paper, we propose a new QoS control scheme that calculates an optimal back off window size of random access using the equations derived from terminal behavior Markov models so as to adjust the widow size according to the observed terminal traffic and then control low priority class traffic in order to lower transmission delay of high priority class less than the pre-defined maximum transmission delay.
