A Very Large-scale Information Sharing Network Connecting Human, Objects and Contents

Abstract(in English) Platform technologies for the Smart Services essentially requires distributed architecture to enable a large-scale information sharing network which connects a large number of human, objects and contents, keeping scalability and heterogeneity. In our research project, we have been developing a network service platform for scalable services by distributed architecture that make use of a large number of user's mobile terminals (cellular phones), objects, devices like sensors, and so on. In this paper, we introduce our research and development activities on enablers of such network service platforms, a open source platform software called PIAX that is an reference implementation of such enablers, and a testbed based on PIAX in which service developers can do their own evaluations and experiments on an actual distributed environment.
