Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have fabricated the flexible organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) on plastic film, and have measured electrical properties under tensile strain while changing bending radius. The reversible variation was observed in the drain current before and after bending. With a decrease in the thickness of the gate insulator, the variation of the drain current of OTFT by bending was increased. The change rate of drain current didn't depend on the thickness of gate insulator. With a decrease in the channel length, the variation of the drain current by bending was increased. We found that the sensitivity of OTFT for bending can be increased by employing a thin gate insulator and a short channel. The possibility for the sensor application of the OTFT was shown by this study.
