Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Integration of the microwave power divider onto a single substrate of the electrooptic modulator was investigated for miniaturization and stabilization of the modulator operation. First of all, propagation properties of transmission lines on a LiNbO_3 (LN) substrate were evaluated. Next, a branch line coupler, which has a function of a 90 degree hybrid, was designed at 10 GHz on z-cut LN substrate. The BC circuits were fabricated and the properties were measured as that the relative bandwidth was 11% and the maximum gap of the power division was 1.24dB. For optical SSB modulation, we fabricated and evaluated the microwave circuit consisting of the BC directly connected with dual type electrode for Mach-Zehnder modulator.
