Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The calculation of color difference is one of the most basic techniques in the image-processing field. For example, color clustering and edge detection are the first step of most image processing, and those are computed using color difference equation. Although CIELAB color difference equeation is a typical method, the result do not meet one's feeling when the color difference becomes large. In this paper, we did psycho-physiological experiments on how the range of the color perceived man be similar has spread in the a^*b^* plane. Based on this result, we propose a new color difference metric.
