Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This study investigated psychophysiologically whether feeling of "relaxation" in an environment with lighting stimuli could be explained by applying two-dimnsional emotion model and by using any physiological index objectively. Using four typical stimuli, psychological ratings and physiological activities (electroencephalogram (EEG), electrocardiogram (ECG) and skin potential level) were measured. Subjective evaluation indicated that feeling of "relaxation" could be modeled by psychological valence and arousal. In addition, Stepwise regression analysesand cross validation revealed that both the psychological valence and arousal could be accounted for by indices of the EEG. These results suggest that the feeling of "relaxation" in our study could be explained objectively by indices of the EEG.
