Japanese Writing Learning System Using Text Chat for International Students

Abstract(in English) In this paper, an especial text chat system to help foreign students' studying is proposed. By chatting with Japanese person, it might be possible for them to get quick review about their Japanese sentence. However, it is extra work load for Japanese person to correct or review the sentence. The proposed system adopts a user interface to easily correct or review the sentence. In addition, the proposed system shows the history of the rate of incorrect sentences with which the students are expected to maintain their motivation for continuing studying. As the result of experiment, it is found that the proposed system would be useful for improvement the Japanese writing skill and the motivation for Japanese studying might be able to be maintained.
