Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A wideband variable frequency oscillator (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) can be used in the area of signal processing. The distortion of output voltage of the VCO should be suppressed for the performance. In order to realize the single-chip VCO with wideband oscillation for diagnosing EMC, we newly attempt to establish the method for designing Low-Pass-Filter (LPF) with voltage variable cutoff frequency, which corresponds to the oscillation frequency of the VCO. The LPF consists of MOS transistor and capacitor. The resistor between drain and source in MOS transistor behaves as voltage variable resistor. Firstly, effects of the circuit configuration and the parasitic capacitor in the MOS transistor on the frequency characteristics are discussed by circuit simulation. Secondly, it is demonstrated that the use of multistage is applicable to improve the frequency characteristics of the LPF. This study reveals the basic characteristics of the single-chip system for EMC application.
