Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) V-I characteristics of Arcs is needed to properly analyze electrical circuits that include arc discharge. Guye's research on V-I characteristics of arcs between copper electrodes concerns currents of 2 amperes to 20 amperes and lengths of arcs varying from 0mm to 4mm. His research however, does not include currents lower than 2 amperes. Our research aims at deriving the V-I characteristics of arcs between copper electrodes when the current is lower than 2 amperes by using moving contacts. We also go a step further and investigate the extinction characteristics when the arc is unstable.
