Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The transillumination image of blood vessels for vein authentication are blurred by the strong scattering of the body tissue. Scattering and absorption property of biological tissue depends on the wavelength. A technique was newly developed to improve the transillumination image using different illumination wavelengths. The validity of the proposed technique was verified with a phantom model. The effectiveness was confirmed with the image of a human hand. In the experiment with 7 subjects, the applicability of the proposed technique to different individuals was confirmed, and appropriate wavelengths were selected. Finally, the usefulness of the proposed technique for vein authentication was demonstrated.
