Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, in middleware, such as an application server and DBMS (DataBase Management System), the system which adopts open source software (OSS) is increasing. At these OSS(s) middleware, when the processing performance in default configuration is low, it is known for optimizing system construction that processing performance will improve greatly. However, in order to go across the setting item for these performance tuning variably, the performance tuning work in manual operation is difficult. Therefore, the preset value was decided from the system administrator's empirical rules in many cases. In this research, in order to solve these problems, it proposes about the automation technique of the performance tuning of OSS. After applying to Apache which is typical OSS, an evaluation experiment is conducted, and the usefulness of the proposal technique is shown.
