Evaluation of Anti-Malware User Support System through Field Experiments

Abstract(in English) We have been developing Anti-Malware User Support System, which detects and removes malwares in cooperation with malware dynamic analysis systems. The developed system performs dynamic analysis on suspicious files received from user PCs, and if the files are classified as malwares, this system automatically generates removal tools and disinfects the malwares. This paper reports field experiments of this system, in which tens of students and teachers from five educational institutes have tried this system for about three months. In the experiments, this system has analyzed about 1,000 files from the users, and the result shows the system can detect and remove a malware within 10 minutes after the malware intrudes into a PC.
