| 抄録(和) | 肢体不自由者の中でも発声が困難な方が会話をする場合,パソコンを利用した意思伝達装置を使用することが多い.しかし,パソコンを持ち歩くことや車椅子への固定が難しいという理由から,外出時にそれらの意思伝達装置を使用できないという現状がある.そこで我々は,気軽に持ち運びができる携帯端末に意思伝達を補うアプリケーションを開発した.同時に,普段使い慣れている入力装置を携帯端末に接続できるスイッチコネクタの必要性が高いと判断し,制作した.また,このアプリケーションを用いた肢体不自由者への調査では,外出時であっても自発的にコミュニケーションを図ることが可能であるとわかった. |
| 抄録(英) | Individuals who have difficulty speaking because of severe physical disabilities often use communication tools available on personal computers to converse with others. However, currently they cannot use these tools when they are away from home and mobile. This is because they have difficulty fixing the communication tools to a wheelchair and in carrying a personal computer along. In view of this issue, we have developed an application that supplements communication using a mobile terminal that can be carried along easily. Moreover, because of the great need that we perceived for such a device, we produced a switch connector that connects the mobile terminal with an input device that people with physical challenges are accustomed to using. In addition, on the basis of a survey of physically handicapped people who used this application with the mobile terminal connected to the input device, we found that they now have the ability to communicate spontaneously, even when they are away from home and mobile. |
