Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A chaos multiple-input multiple-output (C-MIMO) transmission scheme in which the chaos encoding is applied into transmit symbols in MIMO multiplexing transmission obtains both a physical-layer security and coding gain. By rate-1 random chaos coding, MIMO multiplexing transmission obtains antenna diversity effect and the transmission performance can be improved with an increased decoding complexity of maximum likelihood sequence estimation. However, since C-MIMO uses a random phase shift keying as second modulation, the minimum free squared Euclidean distance between nearest sequences can be controlled only statistically and sometimes a very short distance occurs resulting in the limitation of performance improvement. To solve this problem, we propose a new C-MIMO scheme with an adaptive chaos processing to prevent the generation of short free squared Euclidean distance, and the improved block error rate is obtained by the proposed scheme. We show the performances of the proposed scheme by computer simulations and the approximate theoretical analysis.
