Analytical Expression for Electromagnetic Radiation from Coupled Microstrip Traces

Abstract(in English) In this paper, the Telegrapher's equations for two coupled microstrip lines are solved by using the mode decomposition method where the orthogonal odd-mode and even-mode are adopted. The line currents for each mode are expressed in terms of the Green function for the microstrip line, and the analytical expression for the radiated electric fields from coupled two coupled microstrip lines are derived. Computed results for several models with matched, short, and open terminations conditions are compared to those simulated by a finite element method to verify the derived analytical expression.
