Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A brain-computer interface (BCI) is an alternative communication channel between human and a computer, which is able to translate the brain activities of the patients suffering from some severe disabled diseases into the computer commands to communicate with the external world. Up to now, a number of BCI systems are based on visual stimuli. However a patient of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosisln cannot use these BCIs. Therefore, we propose an auditory BCI using speech stimuli. In this paper, we confirm the induction of P300 when we present a stimulus as a single note of Japanese. Moreover we show that it can be identified using the linear discriminant analysis.
