Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Currently, optical access network which is mainly driven by PON (Passive Optical Network) system has been widely deployed. Furthermore, livelihood support and amusement service that connected information appliances has been provided. In the background of recent global climate change, the power saving of electronic devices is demanded., Because power consumption of CPEs (Customer Premise Equipments) is dominant in the whole optical access system, sleep control scheme for CPEs need to be studied. There are some of CPEs such as HGW (Home Gateway) or the ONU (Optical Network Unit), and these need to co-work in the sleep control, however the interface condition for the sleep control among CPEs has not been defined by now. In this paper, we report our study results on the interface condition for the sleep control scheme among CPEs.
