Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, a fast and automatic metal sheet inspection system by digital still camera is introduced. This system acquires a metal sheet image with a single digital still camera, inspects the image and detects errors by comparing with the layout data. Since a digital still camera yields particular lens distortions, geometrical undistortion process is required in order to achieve high precision inspection. In this research, it is proposed to combine the camera calibration with a radial distortion model and residual detail variation in order to achieve high precision distortion estimation. After undistortion by the radial distortion model, the detail variation is estimated by phase only correlation(POC). Futhermore, errors resulted from thickness of metal sheet is also compensated simultaneously. In order to confirm the significance of this inspection system, the accuracy is evaluated.
