Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In sparsely populated mobile ad hoc networks, the conventional routing schemes do not work properly. The store-carry-forward routing has been considered as a promising solution under such a circumstance. In store-carry-forward routing schemes, when nodes with the right to make message copies encounter another node in the network, they determine whether the message copy is forwarded to the node or not. In this article, we consider relay node selection of contributing to the decrease in mean delivery delay from candidate relay nodes. Moreover, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the routing scheme where message copies are forwarded only to the selected relay nodes and their destination node.
