Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Hands-free man-machine interface is useful for users that have much baggage or several stuffs. However, existing hands-free interfaces lack inevitability of attachment. Therefore in this research, we propose shoes-type interface that has inevitability of attachment when users go out. Sensor shoes, which is a input device of the shoes-type interface, is designed that 3 load sensors are placed on a first metatarsal bone, a fifth metatarsal bone and a calcaneus bone. For operation detection, we defined two operations that are a tap-method and a push-method. We also define 10 commands with the two operations. We made sensor-shoes with implementing sensor elements to insole. We also made prototype system that implements the proposals, and conducted an experiment. In its result, accuracy rate for detection was 89%.
