Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Power consumption of network devices has been increasing together with traffic volume and it is therefore important to find ways for reducing network traffic. One approach to achieve this is by optimizing content locations which serve as traffic sources. Recently, CCN (Content-Centric Networking) has been introduced to improve the efficiency of traffic transmission by caching content replicas on routers. However, in order to fully realize energy-efficient networks, it is necessary to allocate content replicas effectively in consideration of power consumption of content caching and traffic transmission. In this paper, we propose a new framework to manage cache locations in CCN and a design method which derives the optimal cache locations for content. Furthermore, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method by simulations.
