Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) VCASS exchanges each other's postions, speed, direction of GPS using a wireless LAN,and in the case of the possible collision, it warns to a vehicle driver. In this paper, we propose a new system I-VCASS (Intersection- Vehicle Collision Avoidance Support System) which is a system avoiding the collision of the VCASS vehicle with a pedestrian and non-VCASS vehicle in the intersection using a laser scanner and communications equipment. It is important to judge the moving state of pedestrians and non-VCASS vehicles in the intersection using a laser scanner. Here, We propose a judgement algorithm of the moving object by area using multiple lasers and evaluate the threshold of the area of the proposed method and the judgment of moving state by a vehicle experiments.
