Proposed joint multiple resource allocation method for cloud computing services with heterogeneous QoS

Abstract(in English) In a cloud computing environment, it is necessary to simultaneously allocate both processing ability and network bandwidth needed to access it. It is highly likely that the QoS (quality of service) provided by individual data centers in a cloud computing environment is uneven. The authors proposed the joint multiple resource allocation method in a cloud computing environment that consists of multiple data centers, focusing on bandwidth and only on one of its resource-attributes, network delay. This paper proposed to enhance the previous joint multiple resource allocation method in a cloud computing environment in which individual data centers provide heterogeneous QoS, in order to handle multiple cloud resources and multiple resource-attributes. It is demonstrated by simulation evaluations that the proposed method can reduce the total amount of resources up to 30%, compared with the conventional methods. The proposed method could be also applied to the resource allocation in a hybrid-cloud in which either a private-cloud or a public-cloud is used depending on the required level of security.
