Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Radiocommunication Sector of International Telecommunications Union Radio (ITU-R) completed the international standardizations of International Mobile Telecommunications Advanced (IMT-Advanced) systems in January 2012[1]. Both Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-Advanced) and WirelessMAN-Advanced, which were technically standardized in 3^ Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) and IEEE802.16m respectively, are approved as the IMT-Advanced systems. One of the ITU-R deliverables completed at the same time frame as Ref. [1] is "Report ITU-R M.2243" [2]. Envisioning future studies on beyond IMT-Advanced, the Report summarizes not only traffic forecast and market forecast conducted in the past in ITU-R but also those forecasts for future IMT systems. This paper introduces future trends on both services and market of IMT systems by referring to the contents of Report ITU-R M.2243.
