Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For the purpose of higher spectrum efficiency, cognitive radio based wireless systems using TV white space have been attracting a lot of attentions. However, in the wireless systems using TV white space, it is necessary to secure a control channel to exchange the information on availability of white space as well as the frequency resource such as the frequency channel and the available bandwidth of the white space. In addition, it is necessary to secure minimum frequency resource for communications if TV white space is unavailable. In order to solve these problems, this report proposes a guard band aggregation scheme, which uses the multiple guard bands between digital TV signals by aggregating them. This report shows the performance evaluation results of the digital TV signals when the guard band is used by the proposed scheme. In addition, it discusses the permissible transmitting power of the TV white space devices to avoid the performance degradation of the digital TV signals.
