Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, we present a method for a single image super-resolution based on reconstruction with edge preservation. For image enlargement and super-resolution, artifacts such as a jaggy and blur are often generated, especially along an edge. Therefore, in order to reduce such artifacts, the proposed method consists of (i) bilateral-filtering, (ii) detection of similar structure and data fusion, (iii) edge transformation. These processing are performed to preserve original edge patterns. And we use an iterative back projection to minimize the reconstruction error. Finally, we show some simulation results with less jaggy than a conventional method.
