A Method of Panoramic Video Generation from a Video Sequence using Handheld Camera with Posture Sensor

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a method of generating panoramic image from a video sequence taken by handheld video camera using its posture sensor. Panoramic images from different viewpoints make the integration of videos easier for correspondence of points on video images. Based on the posture information, we can generate panoramic image using projective transformation of video frames. However, these sensor data include several errors and the projected images are not overlapped well. To correct the sensor data with errors, we propose a method based on evaluation of image superposition. In this process, we find correct posture near the original sensor data, and obtain seamless panoramic image.
