Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a watermarking method resistant to printing and capturing of images based on DCT. In the conventional method, for detection of watermarks embedded in the DCT region, it is necessary to determine the threshold. However the automatic determination method of the threshold has not been studied. Proposed method is a technique that can automatically determine this threshold by setting blocks expressing the threshold in the DCT region. We also consider the frequency band used for embedding watermarks. The conventional technique sets a limit on DCT region used for embedding watermarks to provide resistance to geometric transformations caused by the printing and capturing. If the deformation is compensated by applying the image registration, frequency band which were not used in the past study can be used for embedding watermarks. The experimental result clarified that the proposed method has the resistance to printing and capturing. It can also determine the threshold robustly.
