Abstract(in English) We have proposed a self-organized virtual topology control method that is adaptive to environmental changes in a network, such as link or node failures or traffic changes, in the previous work. It is based on attractor selection, which models the biological systems that behave adaptively against changes in their surrounding environments. Though we have shown that our method is adaptive to changes in network environments, our further investigation have also shown that adaptability or convergence time of our method is dependent on the attractor structure of our method. Therefore, in this paper, we investigate the effect of the attractor structure of our method on the adaptability and the convergence time. Through simulation experiments, we show that dynamic reconfiguration of the attractor structure achieves about 22 % faster convergence. Moreover, we show that our method achieves the fast convergence in the case that our method has a certain number of attractors in its attractor structure.
