Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Mobile phones and portable video games using gesture recognition technologies with an accelerometer enable drawing objects, which is difficult for conventional interfaces, and recording detailed activities in daily life. Generally, though several samples of gesture are used as training data, which may lead to misrecognition because the trajectory of gestures changes due to fatigue or forgetting gestures. However, researches considering changes of gestures have not been reported so far. We evaluate the effect of users' fatigue and forgetfulness for gesture recognition and propose a method finding appropriate position for training data in real time. We have confirmed that the proposed method finds more stable training data than that from conventional one.
