Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, a text matching assisted positioning system using a spot information database is studied for pedestrian positioning on areas without public localization services. The proposed system can implement the indoor pedestrian positioning using a spot information database which includes existing floor maps and spot names. In addition, an appending and updating system for the spot information database is considered. In this consideration, the authors consist of a specific web page for appending a positioning area. This web page can extend the positioning area of the proposed system, which is any underground shopping area or any indoor area in the building. The proposed system can also renew the spot information database using the updating system, when a store replaced another store.
