Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes a crossing collision prevention system which uses inter-vehicle communication network that shares in-vehicle running information and other vehicles' running information acquired by in-vehicle obstacle sensors. We focus on a T-junction model as a road environment and theoretical analysis of approach vehicles information acquisition performance has been conducted to the vehicles which flow into a priority way. Moreover, microscopic traffic simulation has been conducted. It is shown clearly quantitatively that the proposed system superiors to the conventional system that uses inter-vehicle communication which shares only in-vehicle running information.
