Simultaneous DPSK dense WDM monitoring using linear optical sampling

Abstract(in English) Each channel of WDM signal can be measured using linear optical sampling which measure a total electrical field of WDM signal, and digital FIR filter which has wavelength demultiplexing function. We believe that this monitoring method is promising as a simultaneous WDM monitoring tool because we can change wavelength demultiplexing function of FIR filter adaptively in digital domain. In this paper, we introduce a dual-channel linear optical sampling configuration into a former measurement system. We report that an 8 channel×25 Gbit/s signal with a 50 GHz grid spacing is successfully observed for the first time.
