Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper discusses an underdetermined approach for face tracking and recognition using the augmented eigenface which consists of normalized eigenface and an associative mapping to 3d shape. Although our previous method solves the overdetermined system of linear equations to estimate the weight vector, this paper shows that an underdetermined approach can efficiently improve recognition performance.
