| 抄録(和) | ウィリアムズ症候群とは,7番染色体長腕7q11.23領域から約26の遺伝子(とりわけエラスチン遺伝子)が欠損して発症する隣接遺伝子症候群のことである.疾患者には心血管異常や心身発達遅滞の他に,聴覚過敏,視空間認知障害,協調運動障害等が伴い,ことば(始語)と歩行の遅れが目立つ一方で,成長とともに優れた音感と言語を表出し,他者への高い共感性と社交性に富む行動が顕著に観察される.本稿では,ウィリアムズ症候群に特徴的な高次脳機能の乖離現象を報告し,ことばの遅れは,同定されている遺伝子欠損が主因の身体発達遅滞の一環であるとの見解を提示する.また,本見解により,アシスティブ・テクノロジーを活用したインクルーシブ教育の妥当性が立証されることを主張する. |
| 抄録(英) | Williams Syndrome (WS) is a multisystem disorder caused by microdeletion of about 26 genes, most notably ELN, from chromosome 7 (7q11.23). Various physical and cognitive impairments appear in WS. The onset of language and ambulation is often delayed. As they grow up, people with WS are often marked by a mix of musical and linguistic strengths and visuospatial cognitive weaknesses. This paper examines such cognitive dissociations observed in WS, and presents the view that delayed speech in WS is part of the delayed physical growth due to the identified gene deletion. This view comes to support the application of inclusive education to the WS population, grounded on the availability of assistive technology. |
