Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Relays are generally sealed by sealant which is one-packed epoxy resin adhesives to prevent from invasion of solder-flux, foreign matters, corrosive gas, etc. Some of sealing relays are used transparent plastic cases so that relay users can confirm weather relays operates correctly. A polycarbonate is used as the transparent plastic case of relays. Because it has a good property balance, for example a high shock resistance and a high heat resistance. But bubbles sometimes can be seen in adhesive interface between a polycarbonate case and epoxy adhesive after curing epoxy adhesive. If bubbles increase, sealing property of relays may not be able to be satisfied. But the cause of bubbles does not make clear. In this time, we could make clear the cause of bubbles and new phenomenon in adhesive interface between a polycarbonate case and epoxy adhesive. Furthermore we could make clear the method of improving sealing property.
