Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We percept surrounding environments using several organs of sense. How we estimate surrounding information from multisensory information in the brain? Several theoretical models based on Bayesian inference have been proposed in order to explain the data of psychophysical experiments about multisensory perception. While Bayesian inference provides a normative account for the computational principle which can be used in the brain, it do not provides the information how the nervous systems can implement the computation. Therefore, to provide insights about the neuron dynamics related to the multisensory integration, we construct a recurrent network model that can implement the computation related to multisensory integration. By using computer simulation, we show the proposed model can account the data of psychophysical experiments that has been explained by the Bayesian model.
