Abstract(in English) A method for generating high-resolution color image from fusing high-resolution panchromatic image and low-resolution multispectral images obtained by the earth observation satellite is proposed. First, the intensity of color image is calculated using IHS transform, and then the resolution of intensity is increased using a correction coefficient of the color image corresponding to the panchromatic image. In this paper, we propose a method for estimating a correction coefficient of the color image corresponding to the panchromatic image, and present a new image fusion method based on the IHS transform. Experimental results show that this method achieves higher quality indexes than the conventional IHS methods.
