Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, automatic surveillance systems have become active area of research. There are two typical methods of research for automatic surveillance systems. They are the methods of giving model data of abnormal patterns and the methods of detecting rare patterns. The former methods can detect the patterns of given model data, but cannot define all abnormal patterns. The latter methods are not able to detect all abnormal patterns. In this paper, we propose a novel method of having the advantage of these methods. First, we extract behavioral patterns from images of a surveillance camera. Second, we classify the behavioral patterns and "normal" or "abnormal" information is given to each class. Finally, we recognize observed behavioral patterns based on the information.
