Abstract(in English) In recent years, public wireless LAN service for trains has advanced significantly in Japan. Contemporary approaches to provide Internet connection to trains have used WiFi technology. To facilitate wide area Internet connectivity satellite communication has received significant attention. However, satellite communication suffers from frequent signal cutoffs due to the existence of obstacles. To solve this issue, a combination of layer-3 diversity with gap filer has been proposed. Layer-3 diversity is a method by which the same packet is received by multiple inputs and the most appropriate packet is selected. In layer-3 diversity, packet-matching processing is required and this processing is performed with a dedicated device called a layer-3 diversity switch. This processing may result in a bottleneck for high bandwidth communications. This paper focuses on the packet list structure that this dedicated device holds, and we propose a method to reduce the packet-matching processing time by decentralized administration of the packet list structure. Experimental results show the advantages our proposed method.
