Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Availability and communication capacity of Ka- and Ku-band satellites during rain using duration time were analyzed. First, availability and communication capacity of Ka- and Ku-band satellites and frequency diversity satellite were analyzed from time-series received data of WINDS, JCSAT-2A and ASIASAT3s. The calculated availability was almost constant when the duration time is increased. However, the communication capacity was increased by using the frequency diversity when the duration time is increased. Second, the availability and communication capacity using state transition matrix were estimated and coincided well with the results of time-series data. The availability and communication capacity when the duration time is increased were evaluated accurately using both the time-series data and state transition matrix.
